Design Shanghai
Design Shanghai, Asia’s leading international design event, will return to the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 4–7 March 2027, bringing together the world’s most influential design brands and a dynamic programme of exhibitions and experiences. With a continued focus on quality and innovation, the show will once again set a new benchmark for design in Asia.
The Shanghai Exhibition Centre, the original home of Design Shanghai, holds a special place in the hearts of design brands and audiences alike, thanks to its prime central location and distinctive architectural character. It was here in 2014 that Design Shanghai made its debut, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the dialogue between Chinese and global design. After six years, Design Shanghai returned to this iconic venue in 2026, embarking on a renewed journey focused on elevated quality and enriched experiences—presenting a more international, immersive, and design-driven edition.
Design Shanghai 2026 centred around four key sectors: Furniture & Lighting, Kitchen, Bathroom & Systems Design, New Materials & Applications, and Living & Lifestyle. The show presented outstanding works from over 500 design brands representing more than 20 countries and regions, creating a cross-disciplinary platform that bridged nature, craftsmanship, and human-centred thinking. Special curated features—including TALENTS, Made in JDZ, Beyond Craft, Collectible Design & Art, and Materials First—were showcased alongside two major industry forums: the KOHLER · Design Shanghai Global Design Conference and the CMF Conference. Together, they offered a rich and multi-layered source of inspiration for design professionals and enthusiasts from around the world.
