Sebastian Gier is a German designer who is working on future mobility experiences at BMW Group as a Senior Designer for Strategic Design and User Experience. 

He is also the founder and host of the podcast Designdrives.org, where he explores the value of a design- driven and user-centric innovation process in order to create better experiences for people. In the podcast, he interviews progressive design minds for example from NASA, Microsoft, Amazon, Uber, Spotify and others on their experiences and stories on the impact of design. Ultimately to inspire designers about why, how and what design can positively contribute to the world. Sebastian has been fortunate enough to work with various international brands and companies on projects like Adidas, Philips, Bosch, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, MINI, John Deere, Cathay Pacific, Newell and Midea in the context of startups, consultancies and in-house design studios in Europe, USA and Asia. His work has been recognized by international design institutions like the Core77 Design Award, Red Dot Design Concept Award, IDA, Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDEA), IxDA Award (Interaction Design Association), BraunPrize, Dezeen and others. His work and experience spans across mobility, consumer electronics and healthcare to digital systems, heavy industries and digital design systems and solutions. Furthermore he holds a Master degree in "Advanced Product Design" from the Umeå Institute of Design in Sweden as well as a Bachelor in "Industrial Design" from Folkwang University of Arts in Germany.
