Unveiling Global Insights on Color, Materials, and Finishes at Design Shanghai CMF Conference

In 2025, the CMF Conference will centre around the theme “Feeling of Touch”, rediscovering the significance of CMF and exploring its potential across multidimensional perceptions.
The conference will consist of three parts: the first will discuss the interplay of color and touch in architecture and environment; the second will show the touch and materials of products and handicrafts; and the third will feature high-tech material companies unveiling the technologies behind the rich tapestry of touch. From June 4-5, the conference will feature discussions centred around 4 key sub-themes: Touch My Heart; Evoke the Time; Explore the Material; Apply the Technology. This year's CMF Conference will bring together international CMF design experts to unveil global insights on CMF. The highlight speakers include: Philip Tinari, Director and Chief Executive of UCCA Center for Contemporary Art; Markus Frentrop, Global Head of RAL COLOURS and RAL Academy; Ming ZHANG, Vice president of China Industrial Design Association, chairman of Automotive industry branch, initiator of "New noble Aesthetics"; Hongyu Guo, PhD., Professor, Doctoral Supervisor of Guangzhou University, Urban Color Expert; Min WEI, Director and General Manager of SPARK China; and Maosen GAO, CEO of Techic CMF Center, Germany NFF Automotive Research Center, Senior CMF Expert Member of GAEC.

Alongside the CMF Conference，this year's CMF Training Workshops will be held from June 6-7, offering two distinct sessions tailored to different expertise levels: Introduction Level - Basic CMF and Advanced Level - Advanced CMF, both guided by world-renowned materials designer and author Chris Lefteri.
