OPPLE Collaborates with Ma Yansong and MAD, Creating an Immersive Installation "Sun" with Software Defined Lighting
)
In Hall 1, Design Shanghai 2025, OPPLE partners with architectural designer Ma Yansong and MAD to present an immersive installation centered around the concept of the "Sun". The exhibition space employs bubbles, light and curves to construct a captivating atmosphere. Suspended above the platform is a floating "artificial sun" enveloped in flexible TPU inflatable membrane, incorporating OPPLE's advanced Software Defined Lighting that simulates natural daylight rhythms through gradually transitioning lighting effects, evoking primal senses of warmth and belonging.
The installation masterfully integrates elements of warmth, lightness and vitality. The undulating floor forms an accessible "Light Theater" that functions both as a rest area and a stage for luminous interactions. Within this carefully curated space, OPPLE showcases its diverse lighting design, unfolding collections such as the Master Series co-created with Ma Yansong, collaborative designs with Habits Studio, OPPLE's self-designed Inspiration & Time Series, as well as the new smart lighting suite.
