Design Shanghai Returns to Architectural Landmark Venue in 2026

Design Shanghai, Asia’s leading international design event, proudly announces its return to the historic Shanghai Exhibition Centre for its 13th edition, taking place from 12–15 March 2026. This return marks a bold and strategic shift — one that sets the stage for a more premium and immersive experience in downtown Shanghai.

More than just a change of location, this move signals the beginning of a new chapter for Design Shanghai. Set in the heart of the city, the Shanghai Exhibition Centre’s distinctive blend of architectural grandeur and central location makes it the perfect setting to elevate the fair’s ambition. The venue’s unique indoor and outdoor spaces will be leveraged to their full potential, enabling an enhanced visitor journey and showcase opportunities for brands and designers.

The show’s Director, Zhuo Tan comments, “The new vision for Design Shanghai signals an exciting and purposeful shift. The 2026 edition of Design Shanghai will also deepen its integration with the city itself, with a dynamic programme of satellite events planned throughout Shanghai. As Design Shanghai returns to its roots, it does so with renewed vision and international ambition. As June 2025’s edition welcomed over 76,000 visitors, and over 600 brands from across 30+ countries, the fair reaffirmed its position as a global crossroads of creativity, innovation, and cultural dialogue.
