Mr. Yisong Guan is the Chief Representative of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Beijing Office. He has rich experience in providing consultation to governments and enterprises for green transition. In his over ten years career on climate change, he founded Easy Carbon, a consultancy firm, which supported its clients to develop low carbon transition strategy and achieve carbon financing under Clean Development Mechanism of UNFCCC. The company secured carbon emission reduction financing for nearly 100 domestic and international companies through international carbon market, and has successfully developed the largest number of CDM projects in China. He was the Chief Operation Officer of the UNEP – International Ecosystem Management Partnership (UNEP-IEMP), responsible for organization management and project execution to protect biodiversity with promoting international cooperation on ecosystem management. Now, he is leading the China Programme of the Foundation to accelerate the circular economy transition of China through high level cooperation, industry transition dialogue and capacity buildings to unlock the country’s potentials and achieve the social and environmental benefits from the circular economy.
