Wenbo Wu
Architect and Artist; Founding Partner, ORIA-Herui
Wenbo Wu, an architect and artist, is the founding partner of ORIA-Herui (Paris/Shanghai), a member of the Shanghai Architects Association, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the Chongqing Couplet
Association. A graduate of Chongqing University's School of Architecture and Urban Planning, he has ARCHITECT pursued architectural studies in cities across France, Spain, Italy, and other European countries. His
writings have been published in renowned academic journals such as Italy's Divisare and World
Architecture (WA), and he co-edited the book "Paris | Mirror Metropolis" with the French National Center for Scientific Research. His design works have won numerous accolades at prestigious awards including
&the WA Awards, IDA, AMP, DNA, The Plan, and WAN. In 2018, he was invited by the European Cultural Centre of the Global Art Affairs Foundation to participate in the 16th Venice Biennale.
His installation Touch was specially presented at Design Shanghai 2021. The performance installation ARTIST Flower River Island was showcased at the 2021 Shanghai Fashion Week as a featured art piece. The light and art installation Birth was exhibited at Design Shenzhen 2022, featuring a light show during the opening ceremony. He contributed to the publication Urban Renewal: Excellent Design Cases and Analyses and authored the collection of architectural drawings and essays Under the Plane Trees.
In 2024, he collaborated on the HUI Milano 2025 Spring/Summer Fashion Week show“Le Grand Tour.”The same year, he held the "Strokes Between Lines / A Century of Bund Imports" art and design exhibition at the Shanghai Merchant Ship Guild Hall, revitalizing the historic venue by blending history and modernity to showcase the essence of Shanghai culture.
