Weiqi Wang is the Associate Principal in SOM’s Shanghai office. He has more than 15 years of working experience in architecture and has led the team in delivering various projects in Asia, North America, and Middle East, spanning large-scale mixed-use, super high-rise, office commercial, retail, culture, hospitality development etc. He is very experienced in the design and implementation of complex projects.
Weiqi is responsible for the technical coordination and development of projects through the Construction Administration phase, organization of the Construction Documents and stakeholder engagement at both strategic level and in detailed resolution.
As a Registered Architect in the United States, Weiqi Wang serves on the committee of American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Council on Highrise Building and Habitat Environment of ASC (CHHE-ASC). He is committed to sustainability design and research, through his expertise, helping clients shape a better built environment. Weiqi was an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Hong Kong University.
