Tao Chen co-founded FCHA Design in 2006. He studied in Berlage College of Urban Planning in the Netherlands from 2008 to 2010. Since 2013, he has been a member of Shenzhen Architectural Design Review Expert Database. The design concept of Tao Chen insists on the essential thinking, facing the core problems of each site and each design, insisting on the integrated design method from research to design, from strategy, planning, architecture, landscape and interior. He has been invited to participate in the design research of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Biennale for many times, including one million affordable housing, inter-city city, value factory, etc. Many of the studio's designs have won awards in international competitions and been covered by many professional architectural media at home and abroad, such as C3,DEZEEN,ARCHDAILY, Goode, Youfang, etc. He leads Fang Cheng Design, an architectural design studio dedicated to the research and practice of urbanization in China. Many of our projects have won the World Architecture Festival WAF, Dezeen Awards, World Architecture Journalism Awards WAN, Design for Asia DFA and many others.
