Shiyun Qian
Founder/Principal architect, Nota Architects
Born in Shanghai, China in 1983, Founder of Nota Architects.
Ms.QIAN received a Master of Excellence in Architecture from the Berlage Institute in the Netherlands. Prior to her own practice, she worked for OMA & AMO, Ben Wood Studio Shanghai, and Safdie Architects on internationally influential projects.
Ms.QIAN founded Nota Architects in 2014 and served as the principal architect, dedicated to creating sustainable and future-oriented designs. Her architectural practice and research have been focused on Biophilic Design from multi-disciplinary perspectives. These originate from her thinking about life consciousness and are reflected in the human-centric design philosophy that endows each project with its value and long-term vitality.
Ms.QIAN is also a guest lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Built Environment at University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
In 2019 Nota and its founder Shiyun QIAN were awarded AD100 - The 100 Most Influential Architects and Interior Designers in China.
