Shane LEE
Shane Lee, General Manager of TCL Design Innovation Center, MBA from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and Master of Art, User Interface Design and Industrial Design from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. The jury of preliminary and Secondary Selection for the GoldenPin Design Award 2021, 2022 and 2024, and the jury of iF Design Award 2025. From 2008 to 2013, he served as the design director of Alcatel, Motorola, and Google for mobile phone design, he led his multinational design teams to cooperate with the company's product strategy, R&D, and marketing & sales teams to sell more than 100 smartphone models, creating more than 132 million units sales result of smartphones in the global market. In 2013, he served as the head of Samsung Design China design institute, responsible for designing Samsung's cross-category home appliances in the Chinese market and led the Galaxy C smartphone series products and user experience design. In 2018, he served as the general manager of TCL Communications Global Product Center, leading the TCL mobile phone product strategy & roadmap to launch in the European and American markets, as well as the design and innovation of foldable smartphones, VR/AR glasses, and other innovative products. In 2020, Shane established & act as the general manager of TCL Design Innovation Center (DIC), responsible for designing all categories of home appliances, and launched a complete set of IoT home appliances with a unified design language and an AI intelligent design strategy. He started to promote the high-end design strategy for all product categories since 2023 and successfully facilitated the long-term brand cooperation between TCL Electronics (01070.HK) and Denmark's luxury audio brand BANG & OLUFSEN, empowering TCL's high-end display technology brand image with high-end acoustic technology capabilities. He has led his international design teams to win more than 150 internationally renowned design awards including the iF Award, Red Dot, IDEA, G-Mark, and so on.
