Richard Lee has spent his professional life practicing in two distinct worlds. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters degree, he worked at KPF and Handel Architects, both in New York, before relocating to Taiwan and joined C.Y. Lee & Partners, where he has worked on many of the firm’s landmark projects such as The One Kaohsiung, the Siemens Headquarters in Beijing, the Taiwan Pavilion for Expo 2010 and many others. This has given him a unique opportunity to introduce global concerns and ideology to the largely local practice in Taiwan. Recently he has joined ADP Architects after a long tenure at C.Y. Lee but remains the de-facto Sustainability Design Lead for his former firm and spearheads many of its sustainability policies.
