Martin Rune Hoxer
Executive Director of Innovation Centre Denmark (ICDK)
Martin is the Executive Director for Innovation Centre Denmark (ICDK) in Shanghai. A joint collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Science and Education in Denmark. ICDK supports Danish R&D intensive companies and research institutions to find partners, projects and markets in China. Before this position, Martin was heading the ICDK in a similar position in Seoul, South Korea for 3 years. Martin holds Master’s degrees in Political Science from Aarhus University (AU), and Project Management and Process Improvement from Roskilde University (RUC). He has vast experience within innovation, internationalization and business development. Martin has worked with both public and private entities and as a CEO in the Danish business promotion system and as a Director of International Relations at a university of applied science. Before these positions, he also worked with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinating the Danish support to diverse development programmes. Core competences are within project management, strategy development and funding, innovation, quality and process improvement, and internationalization. Martin is a board member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Global Tech Board, and a member of the advisory board for business programs at Aalborg University.
