Joeri Reynaert

Shanghai based, Belgian designer Joeri Reynaert entered the industry as internal designer for well-established European brands such as Foscarini in Italy and Extremis in Belgium. As an independent designer he presented his first work at Salone del Mobile 2013, Italy. In the same year he moved to China to set up a design studio for his former boss and friend, Dirk Wynants (founder of Extremis). Within this role he established a 4-year undergraduate program at the DeTao Master Academy, raising the bar for Chinese product design education. In 2018 Joeri Reynaert founded JRS and designs for several start up and established brands within China. He draws inspiration from socially shifting environments in various cultures, and aims to adapt to those, rather than to market trends. An essential style with a keen eye for detail, results in contemporary yet timeless design. In a post Covid era, Joeri Reynaert is eager to broaden his client base worldwide, with an emphasis on South-east Asia.
