Hao Dong, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute, New York, USA.
In 2005 Hao Dong co-founded the practice of Crossboundaries in Beijing together with Binke Lenhardt.
Hao Dong is a chartered member of RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) and is regularly instructing at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and also at Tsinghua University. He is a frequent guest critic, lecturer, and public speaker on diverse forums and platforms, i.e. TEDx, a column writer for F.T. (Financial Times), and his consulting expertise on “How space shapes people” has been acknowledged by the Jiangsu and Shenzhen government.
Hao Dong has been appointed as a juror for diverse architectural awards, i.e. the Architizer A+Award and the AMP MasterPrize, and he was selected as a nominator for the Sanlian ‘City for Humanity’ Awards 2020.
