Chan Chi Chung, an alumnus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong who arrived at RLP in 2010, believes that architecture is one of the world’s most challenging occupations, requiring a rational and sensible personality. TODTOWN in Shanghai is his favourite project – as the first TOD project in mainland China, he had to overcome the enormous challenge of creating a “new thing” within an existing system.
