01 Exhibition Information

Q: What are the exhibition opening hours?

Design Shanghai will take place from 19th to 22nd March 2026 (Thursday to Sunday)
The detailed opening hours are as follows:

Trade Visitors & Distributors
Thursday, 19 March 2026: 12:00–21:00 (Last entry at 20:00)

*Entry stops 1 hour before closing time each day.

Q: Where is the exhibition held?

The exhibition will take place at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre.

Ticketing Guide

Q: What types of tickets are available for Design Shanghai?

Design Shanghai 2026 offers two main categories of tickets: exhibition tickets and conference tickets.

  • Exhibition tickets must be registered according to visitor type and date, and are valid only on the selected day.
  • Conference tickets must be registered based on the conference theme and date, including the Global Design Conference (which includes an exhibition ticket for the same day) and the CMF Conference (which includes exhibition tickets for March 19–20). These tickets are valid only on the corresponding dates. Please make sure to check the date of the conference you wish to attend in advance, and select the corresponding forum ticket option below the exhibition tickets on the official registration page. To enter the conference area, you must hold both the exhibition ticket and the conference ticket for the same day.

Q: Are there any discounts for tickets?

Yes, tickets for Design Shanghai 2026 at the launch rate are now on sale. The launch rate discount is available until December 31, 2026. The early-bird discount is available until March 18, 2026, and the general price will resume starting March 19, 2026.

Q: How can I register?

Design Shanghai is a professional trade event open to industry professionals. You may register through the official Design Shanghai Website at www.designshanghai.com, or through the “Design Shanghai” WeChat official account by selecting [Ticket Registration(注册观展)] in the bottom menu.

Q: Can tickets be refunded after registration?

Please note that tickets are paid admission and not regular goods. Once registration is complete, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
Entry is valid only during the registered time slot, and re-entry on the same day is permitted.

Q: How can professional visitors register?

Professional visitor open days are from 19–22 March 2026 (Thursday–Sunday). If you work in architecture, design, branding, hospitality, or related industries, please select [Professional Visitor] when registering and provide the required information. Your registration will be reviewed within the specified timeframe. Once approved, you may select tickets for the relevant dates as needed.

Q: How can distributors register?

Distributor open days are from 19–22 March 2026 (Thursday–Sunday). If you work in distribution, procurement, retail, or related industries, please select [Distributor] when registering and provide the required information. Your registration will be reviewed within the specified timeframe. We offer distributors complimentary four-day exhibition tickets for Design Shanghai (valued at 200$).

Q: How can media visitors register?

Media open days are from 19–22 March 2026 (Thursday–Sunday). If you work in professional design media, general media, social media, or as a KOL, please select [Media] when registering and provide the required information. Your registration will be reviewed within the specified timeframe. We provide media visitors with complimentary exhibition tickets for Design Shanghai and access to the Design Shanghai Global Design Conference (valued at 340$ ).

Q: How can the public, students, and children register?

Public open days are 21–22 March 2026(Saturday–Sunday). Members of the public and design enthusiasts can select [Public] to purchase tickets without review.
As Design Shanghai is a professional exhibition, children under 16 are not recommended to attend.

Q: How can group visitors register?

Q: What online payment methods are supported for ticket registration?

Design Shanghai supports three online payment methods: WeChat, Alipay, and PayPal. If you do not have a suitable payment method, please contact Design Shanghai ticket support at bookings@designshanghai.com or +86 (021) 64079697.

Q: How can I get an invoice after ticket registration?

Design Shanghai supports online invoicing. You can click the "Apply for Invoice" button on the ticket registration page to generate an invoice online.

 

04 Visitor Guide

Q: What should visitors know before entering Design Shanghai?

Entry requires a physical badge. Badge printing services are available on-site.
You are encouraged to print your badge in advance for faster entry and to avoid queues.
Please note that all tickets are non-refundable once purchased. Entry is only permitted during the designated time slot.

Q: Are there any tips for visiting the exhibition?

Light travel is recommended, as no storage services are available on-site.
Please do not touch the exhibits and keep your personal belongings secure.
Pets are strictly prohibited, and running inside the venue is not allowed.

Q: What are the regulations regarding photography equipment on-site?

Cameras are permitted (drones or aerial photography equipment are not allowed). Please keep the flash off and be considerate when taking photos to avoid disturbing other visitors.
Please note that the organizer and cooperating media will be recording and photographing the exhibition. By entering, you agree that your image may be used for non-commercial purposes related to the event, including news coverage and official promotion.
