KINSHODO

Hall: Hall3 Stand: Beyond Craft Japan
KINSHODO

Arita is the birthplace of porcelain in Japan, with a history spanning over 400 years. Renowned for producing tableware and crafts, the porcelain made in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, and its surrounding areas is known as Arita ware. Kinshodo was established in 1961 when Kaneko Teruo, the grandson of Kaneko Rinzō and father of the current president, opened a small wholesale store with his wife in Akae Town, Arita. Known for his seriousness and diligence, Kaneko Teruo laid a solid foundation for Kinshodo. In 1975, he contributed to establishing the Arita porcelain wholesale district. Kinshodo focuses on “extraordinary beauty” and “functional elegance.” It offers the traditional brand “Kachofugetsu” and the innovative brand “Lin,” which has gained great popularity overseas. The company’s philosophy is to bring people an engaging and delightful Japanese lifestyle.

2019年米国「NY NOW」で「BEST IN SHOW」受賞の他、日本、英国で受賞多数。
