JUN WANG STUDIO is an avant-garde design practice founded in 2021 by designer Jun Wang. Based in Tianjin and Kyoto, the studio is actively engaged in international exhibition platforms across Italy, France, Japan, and beyond. The practice focuses on the intersection of cultures and the fusion of design diversity, continuously exploring perceptual interactions between people, objects, and space. Its design language often moves between order and chance. With a heightened sensitivity to material properties, the studio''s works reveal an almost poetic formal logic''whether in furniture, lighting, or architecturally driven objects''each carrying an experimental quality that deliberately blurs conventional typological boundaries. Representative works such as the Petal Chair, the Oli''er lighting piece, and the Depros series emerge from explorations of natural form, structural tension, and human'Cobject interaction. In addition, Unreleased is an experimental lighting series situated between fantasy and industry. Beginning from the idea of being ''uncategorizable,'' the series employs emotionally charged materials and heterogeneous structures to investigate the form of light, the playfulness of structure, and the ambiguous territory between form and function. These lights resemble everyday relics from a future civilization, slipping into contemporary life in ways that feel both unfamiliar and strangely familiar.
