Intervention, Vacancy, and the Confrontation between Landscape and Nature. In this visual survey spanning mountains and seas, the landscape is no longer an object of lyricism, but a series of static, philosophical domains. Photographer Zhu Di documents how human civilization has intervened in the earth like a wedge. Those vast stretches of Gobi and sea are rendered as visual vacancies—not as absences, but as a form of fullness that refuses to speak. Within the distance constructed by the lens, man-made artifacts and the constancy of nature exist in a silent confrontation. As all things return to their material essence, the noise of the world fades, leaving only the landscape to echo in eternal silence.
