In the current epoch, the misplaced relationship between reality and ideal makes us ignore the relationship between ourselves and real life. The misplaced circle center and perspective ladder are the best media to find self. This attitude of climbing requires a concentrated focus on our own body. The action of conversion will not projected into the future, but to examine ourselves. By examining our own action, we no longer regard life as a simple framework, but to look upon the action in the life and through the life.
During Design Shanghai 2021, YANG HOUSE will bring a batch of new design pieces, including the new Fusheng Series and the sofa “Cloud”. Especially, YANG HOUSE tried to use the concept of origami to design a seat with both comfort and high-quality aesthetic value in this origami artwork. Tyvek® material is folded layer by layer to fully utilize the characteristics of waterproof, breathable, light, high toughness, tear resistance characteristics, formed a slender and light visual texture. This structure also makes the sofa more sturdy and durable, and allows users to obtain a comfortable sitting experience, achieving a high degree of unity in aesthetics and function. The pure fold design, like the "cloud", runs through the entire inner steel tube, a hollow giant space is created where you can place books while reading or let the pets play in.
The round table is a metaphor of harmony and balance, but it implies rules in daily use. For example, the position of sitting around heralds differences in group status. In order to eliminate this disparity in class, people often need to seek psychological stability through language, gestures or expressions.
Seesaw Roundtable hopes to "play" the hidden rules in the pursuit of harmonious social tacit understanding, and reconstruct the definition and boundaries of traditional furniture by activating artistic possibilities in common objects. In the main body of the device, the round table is static, and the seesaw-shaped chair is unstable. Their conspiracy lies in how the user controls himself, considers each other, and achieves a dynamic balance. In addition to preserving interest, the designer aims to explore the relationship between humans, objects and society.
TASTE OF DESIGN
Cooking. It is all about color and fragrance. Fresh ingredients, through the hands of the chef, present different taste experiences under the interaction of different materials and techniques. Design, is the same. A designer holding a drawing is like a chef holding a wok. He mixes all kinds of good home furnishings into design techniques and creates different living scenes according to the unique temperaments of different owners. In Design Shanghai, let us use the vision of design to explore the taste of design that we have never experienced through food.
The Michael Young x Dezeen Café Bar
The Michael Young x Dezeen Café Bar at Design Shanghai and the “Beer Shack ” idea that inspired it is born of Michael’s life time in the design industry and an understanding that, be it at a trade show, on a long haul flight or after a day of interviews - a beer bring us all together in the same place at the end of the day, or indeed the middle of the day, location depending. The origins of the project lay in the desire to hold a party in celebration of the opening of the Michael Young studio in Shenzhen and the wish to create a design community - trade marking Beer Buddies, where the sharing of thoughts and idea’s is accompanied by chilled music and a suitably laid back atmosphere. With a keen interest in music Michael has even designed his own beer brand, with editions inspired by music, so at Design Shanghai visitors can discover the limited edition “HOUSE”, The graphics of which have also been applied to the design of the Café Bar, having been created to make it fun but very much connected to the daily work of design in reflecting the algorithms used in the Michael Young Studio on a daily basis, reflecting the patterns of the brain and the finger prints that connect us.
