K.L.V (Kinetic Light Art)

K.L.V is a kinetic light installation developed by LUCENT for the Kansai Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. The system uses high-precision motors to control the vertical movement of acrylic spheres suspended by ultra-thin wires. Each element is illuminated from below by LED spotlights, appearing as floating particles of light in space. Through synchronized motion, these individual points form a continuously transforming visual field, creating a dynamic and immersive spatial experience. The work combines advanced engineering with a minimal visual language, aiming to be intuitive and accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. By redefining light as both a physical and perceptual element, K.L.V offers a new way of experiencing space, where motion, rhythm, and light merge into a unified expression.
