Chengfeng
The cantilevered, extended top panel resembles the upturned eaves of ancient architecture, balancing and alleviating the cabinet’s sense of bulk. It serves both as decoration and as a surface for displaying objects. The hand-forged cast iron hardware and the saw-marked surfaces are not forced into uniformity, preserving a natural, breathing quality. Whether used as a sideboard for storage or as an island within a flowing layout, the cabinet’s solid, stable form is not at odds with the lightness evoked by the name "Chengfeng."
