This piece draws on the form of the traditional Chinese official’s hat chair, reinterpreted by Yin Dahua through a process of abstraction that distils its ceremonial presence into a more refined cultural symbol. Employing traditional materials such as red rosewood, alongside classic mortise-and-tenon joinery, Yin Dahua creates a compelling intersection between inherited cultural values and a contemporary aesthetic language.
