Drawing inspiration from the natural landscape of sunlight piercing through two touching cloud layers, this design simplifies the load-bearing area based on the principle of two hyperbolic surfaces making contact—where the surface interaction effectively enhances structural load-bearing capacity with minimal material. The parametric woven hollow structure of the form is designed for outdoor and public areas, and is 3D printed as a single piece using PAX0021, a material independently developed by the brand. This design fuses natural imagery with engineering precision: the hyperbolic surfaces mimic the organic curves of cloud formations, while the parametric weaving optimizes material efficiency through computational design. The PAX0021 material—engineered for durability and weather resistance—ensures the structure withstands outdoor conditions, proving that poetic natural inspiration can drive functional innovation in public space design.
