Dwelling with Rain: Architecture as a Regenerative Medium for 'Beyond Sustainability'
21/03/2026
1. Conceptual Reconstruction: Moving beyond indicator-driven ‘green building’, we view the building as a ‘sensory device’ for refining and reconstructing natural laws, shifting from ‘technological ecology’ to ‘non-natural naturalness’.
2. Methodological Translation: Through climate narratives and landscape perspectives, nature is no longer an isolated object but transforms into an organizational mechanism for architecture, making architecture a porous interface for human perception of nature.
3. Value Evolution: Based on traditional evolution, the contemporary regeneration of landscape values makes architecture a ‘regenerative medium’ for repairing the emotional connection between humans and the biosphere. This is our Chinese answer to ‘Beyond Sustainability.’
