As designers we have spent the last 70 years -since the mass-consumption of plastic goods- designing products that have evolved in line with the capabilities of manufacturing. This was all based on chasing the same aspirations of perfection with virgin plastics. Today with the need to bring in circular thinking these rules need to be reevaluated.
