Embrace the Beauty of Yi Ethnicity, Tailor Garments for the Times
In this speech, I would like to share with you how Yi embroidery has evolved from an ethnic intangible cultural heritage into a fashion language that transcends national borders — this is the original aspiration of "Capturing the Beauty of the Yi People, Tailoring Clothes for the Times". Deeply committed to integrating Yi culture with modern fashion, my designs have always been rooted in cultural codes such as Yi patterns and Yi embroidery. They have not only graced the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and the September Golden Issue of ELLE UK, and been featured at London Craft Week, but also created a unique aesthetic spark by blending Eastern elements with Western tailoring. From opening the Beijing Fashion Week to being featured in exclusive columns by People’s Daily, from fulfilling the mission of Yi Embroidery Promotion Ambassador to practicing the "Star Embroidery for the Future" public welfare project, I have always believed that design is a bridge. In this speech, I will share how to explore ethnic beauty from an international aesthetic perspective, interpret cultural connotations through modern tailoring, help Yi embroidery step out of the mountains and onto the world stage, and let this traditional intangible cultural heritage shine brightly in the tide of the times.
