The theme of the Design Shanghai Forum in association with AD China and Kohler will be “Global Design, Global Craft, Global Manufacturing”. It will discuss the future of global design – where is design, craft and manufacturing heading to in the context of globalization? Will Chinese aesthetics impact the direction of global design? Is digital revolution overturning craftsmanship and making? All these and many more issues will be tackled in the forum.


More than 30 of the world's most influential designers will convene at the forum, including one of the “most creative contemporary designers” - Karim Rashid; American furniture design leader, avant-garde designer, Dakota Jackson; the famous British designer Benjamin Hubert; Founder of DESIGN and well-known Chinese designer, Jamy Yang.
